Egyptian watermelons with high brix and a firm rind, loaded for markets that need reliable summer volume.
Quotations are issued against your target volume, packaging specification and destination port. Minimum order quantities and loading programmes are confirmed per shipment.
Product details
Egyptian watermelons are a summer volume line, grown in the Delta, Beheira and Upper Egypt. The fruit is large, with a firm rind and deep red flesh that holds up in transit. Sugar levels are high in the peak months, typically 10–12° Brix.
We load by fruit count or by weight, depending on the buyer's market. Watermelons are packed loose in bins or in cartons for retail, and they need air movement, so we never seal a container without ventilation. Buyers should specify the target fruit weight and rind colour; a 12 kg programme and an 8 kg programme are different crops, not the same crop sorted differently.
Varieties
Egyptian variety, deep red flesh.
Large, sweet, striped.
