Egyptian strawberries with bright colour and firm flesh, packed for premium retail in the European winter window.
Quotations are issued against your target volume, packaging specification and destination port. Minimum order quantities and loading programmes are confirmed per shipment.
Product details
Egyptian strawberries fill the gap in the European winter, when domestic supply is gone. Festival and Sabrina are the main export varieties: bright red, conical, with firm flesh and a good sugar-acid balance. The crop is grown under plastic in the Delta and around Ismailia, which protects the fruit from rain and keeps the skin clean.
We pack in 250 g punnets, eight to a 2 kg carton, and ship by air because the fruit has a short post-harvest life. Picking is done in the cool of the morning, and the cold chain starts in the field. Buyers should expect a 5–7 day shelf life after arrival, so the shipping plan matters as much as the specification.
Varieties
Firm, bright red, good shelf life.
Sweet, deep red, winter production.
