Product details
Figs are a Mediterranean crop with a short Egyptian season. For freezing, ripe fruit is washed, trimmed and frozen whole or halved. The skin is delicate, so the line is handled gently to avoid crushing.
We grade by size and screen for damaged fruit. The product is packed in 10 kg cartons and retail bags. Frozen figs work well in baking and yoghurt, where the soft texture and sweetness are an advantage rather than a defect.
