Product details
Broad beans are a winter crop in Egypt and one of the country's most familiar vegetables. For freezing, the beans are shelled, blanched and IQF-frozen, which preserves their colour and stops the skins from toughening.
We supply peeled beans or whole pods, graded by size and screened for discoloured or damaged beans. The product is popular in European and Middle Eastern retail, and it performs well in stews and salads because the blanching sets the texture before freezing.
