Product details
Broccoli is a cool-season crop in Egypt, harvested in the Delta and processed close to the field. The heads are cut into florets, blanched and IQF-frozen, which keeps the colour bright and the stems crisp rather than watery.
We grade florets by size and remove leaves and hollow stems. The product is packed in 10 kg cartons for food service, with retail bags available. Because broccoli loses colour quickly after harvest, the time between cutting and freezing is the single most important quality control on this line.
