Egyptian cauliflower with compact white heads and clean florets, frozen without the grey tinge.
Quotations are issued against your target volume, packaging specification and destination port. Minimum order quantities and loading programmes are confirmed per shipment.
Product details
Cauliflower is a winter crop in Egypt and freezes well when the florets are uniform and the blanching is right. We cut the heads into florets, wash them thoroughly and blanch before IQF freezing.
The main defect to control is discolouration — grey or brown spots that appear when the head is over-mature or handled warm. We grade for colour and firmness, remove leaves and core, and pack in 10 kg cartons. Retail bags are available for private label.
